Welcome to Scott Lake Baptist Church and thanks for taking the time to find out more about us. Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I park? Where do my kids go? What is
What are the worship services like?
We have 3 different worship styles and services every Sunday morning
- Traditional Service (Sundays at 8:00-8:
50am ) is a shorter service. All the songs are straight from the hymnal. - Modern Service (Sundays at
10:30am in the Family Life Building). The music is more contemporary and led by our worship band. The sermon is broadcast by simulcast from the sanctuary. - Blended Service (Sundays at 10:30am in the sanctuary). Our worship is led by our choir and a praise team who make use of a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs.
Where should I park?
We have parking spots for guests located just as you enter the north parking lot. There are also volunteers on golf carts available to pick you up and help you get to the right place.
What is the typical attire?
There is no dress code or standard style, but our Traditional and Blended service tend to be more formal in their dress.
What do I do with my kids?
Childcare for babies-preschool is provided during each service (except the 8:00am Traditional Service). We strive to provide a fun and safe environment for your child. All of our volunteers who work with minors are state and national screened. All babies-preschool are electronically checked in before going to their class. Parents receive a receipt sticker that identifies you as the one with the authority to pick up the child after the service. Please bring this sticker with you when you come to get your child. Also, parents of babies-preschoolers are given a pager while on our campus. These will discreetly buzz to notify parents if help is needed with their child.
For children and youth there are Bible study groups at 9:15am on the 2nd floor of the Family Life Building. During the 10:30am worship services grades K-4th are dismissed to Children’s Church before the sermon begins.
